New York Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center at Weill Cornell Medicine

The Program for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Studies is proud to offer evidence-based treatment through the NYP Military Family Wellness Center for post-traumatic stress, depression, and other mental health needs encountered by active duty, veterans, and their families. Services will typically take place over 12 to 20 sessions. Our team will work with patients to determine the best course of treatment for them, which may include Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), couples therapy, and other innovative treatment options.

This program is generously funded by a grant from the New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), which is dedicated to ensuring that impacted post-9/11 service members, veterans, and their families make a successful transition.

Who We Serve

We proudly treat service members of any service era and military background, including the National Guard and Reserves, active and reserve personnel and their loved ones. We care for patients regardless of an individual’s service record, Veterans Affairs service connection, or any other consideration. All services are fully confidential and free of charge. We will also see any individual with a close relationship to a service member, whether it is a domestic partner, spouse, child or close friend who may have been affected in some manner by military service.
