Dr. Colleen Becket-Davenport Presents Mental Health Training for Staff of the USS Intrepid Museum for their upcoming 75th Anniversary

Dr. Colleen Becket-Davenport, program psychologist, of NewYork-Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center and Matthew Ryba, Center’s Outreach and Education Coordinator conducted a mental health training event titled "Busting Veteran Mental Health Myths” for the staff of the USS Intrepid Museum ahead of Fleet Week and their upcoming 75th Anniversary.

Launch of the New York Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center

We are proud to announce the launch of the New York Presbyterian Military Family Wellness Center. We offer free treatment for deployment-related conditions to qualified military service personnel and their families. Services are offered at Weill Cornell Medicine campuses on the Upper East Side, in White Plains (where free parking is available), and in Washington Heights at Columbia University Medical Center.

PTSD Phase II Clinical Trial

We are currently recruiting participants with PTSD for a Phase II Clinical Trial which will test a novel pharmacotherapy for PTSD. The study is free and eligible participants will be compensated for all completed assessments (up to a total of $400).

We are pleased to welcome Michael Valdovinos, Psy.D, ABPP, to our team

Dr. Valdovinos is a combat decorated former Active Duty US Air Force Officer and Clinical Psychologist with extensive clinical, administrative and leadership experience. He will be located at both our Westchester location in White Plains and our offices on the Upper East Side.

Our former patient, an Army Veteran treated for PTSD, is now profiled in NewYork-Prebyterian Hospital's "Amazing Things are Happening Here" campaign.

On May 26th, PATSS attended the 6th Annual Military Appreciation Night. The New York Mets took on the Atlanta Braves alongside thousands of military service members, veterans, and military families in attendance.
